    國立臺灣大學、國立臺灣師範大學、國立臺灣科技大學分別為台灣綜合型、教育體系及技職體系的指標大學,且皆為於台北市大安區,三校在地之便及互補性等優勢下,為求資源整合共享、提升學學習成效、強化教師教學與研究、以及擴大社會服務與貢獻,決定成立『國立臺灣大學系統』以邁向世界頂尖之聯合大學系統為目標。

    系統內近6萬名師生目前共享圖書館、電腦、網路、商家折扣、交通車等資源,及使用會議場地、運動設施、停車等各項優惠;學生可跨校修課、互相承認學分學程,並參與國際文化交流活動。更積極推動三校教授共聘或跨校合聘、跨校華語教學資源整合、共同貴重儀器中心、建置產學技轉媒合平台、學術研究成果資訊交流平台等更多資源共享。

    系統成立預期達到效益包括:

  • National Taiwan University System

    In consideration of their geographical proximity in Da-an District of Taipei City and their academic complementarity, National Taiwan University (NTU), National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) decided to establish the National Taiwan University System, in order to facilitate resource sharing, improve student learning outcomes, enhance pedagogy and research, augment social services and make a greater contribution to society, with the objective of becoming one of the world’s top university systems.

    The nearly 60,000 students and teachers who belong to the System can now share library, computer, and Internet services, enjoy discounts in university stores, and make use of taxi services and other resources. There are also special rates for meeting venues, athletic facilities, and parking lots. Students can take classes at all three institutions, making use of mutual credit recognition and inter-university credit programs. There are also diverse international cultural activities for students to participate in. Future projects include enhanced resource sharing, for instance, cross appointment at all three schools or joint appointment at two, Chinese language pedagogy resource integration, a common precision instruments center, a technical transfer matchmaking platform to enable cooperation between academia and industry, and an academic research information exchange platform.

    The expected benefits of the system include:

    • To realize excellence in teaching and research via resource integration.
    • To raise international recognition and competitiveness.
    • To expand social services.
    • To diversify learning activities and widen students’ academic horizons.
    • To facilitate community development via the extended campus of the university system.
  • By implementing integration and cooperation mechanisms, the National Taiwan University System shall make the best use of the complementary strengths of the three institutions, raising educational quality and pursuing academic excellence. We intend it to serve as a model university system in Taiwan, and will endeavor to become one of the world’s top university systems.

 

  • 國立臺灣大學

    臺灣大學前身為日治時期之「臺北帝國大學」,成立於1928年,校地幅員遼闊,分佈臺北、宜蘭、新竹、雲林,以及中部高山地區,提供師生豐富的生物與生態多樣性研究環境。結合優美的校園、人文的氛圍,並提供完整的知識地圖、豐富的圖書資源、先進的科技設備,形成具有吸引力的教學研究環境,堪稱國內最完整的綜合型研究大學。

    臺大目前共有文、理、社科、醫、工、生農、管理、公衛、電資、法律、生科等12個學院、56個學系、112個研究所、超過 50個國際級或校級研究中心、18個碩博士學位學程,另設有臺大實驗林,三所附屬醫院。橫跨自然科學與人文社會藝術領域,無論所擁有的學術領域或開設之課程數,在全國大學中均無出其右者,學生可獲得多元而優質的學習機會。臺大近年推動「翻轉教室」,「開放式課程」 (OCW) 與「巨型開放式線上課程」 ( MOOCs) 這些嶄新的學習型態,將數位科技融入教學,讓知識學習不再只侷限於課堂與書本。

    臺大在研究與教學方面皆具有卓越的國際聲望,在頂尖學術指標(ESI, Essential Science Indicators)資料庫19個學術領域(共22個領域)中,本校產出的論文是學術引用參考的首選,同時在國際高教育指標皆名列百大。2018年QS世界大學領域排名,臺大有34個領域進入全球前100名次。

  • National Taiwan University

    The predecessor of National Taiwan University (NTU), Taihoku Imperial University, was established in 1928. NTU’s substantial land holdings are distributed in Taipei, Yilan, Hsinchu, Yunlin and in the mountains of central Taiwan, offering students and teachers alike an ecologically diverse research environment. With a beautiful campus, a cultured atmosphere, a complete knowledge map, an extensive library collection, and technologically advanced facilities, NTU offers an attractive teaching and research environment. It may justly be called the most comprehensive research university in Taiwan.

    NTU currently encompasses 12 colleges: Liberal Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Medicine, Engineering, Bioresources and Agriculture, Management, Public Health, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Law, and Life Science. It is made up of 56 departments, 112 institutes, 18 degree programs, over 50 international or university-level research centers, an experimental forest, and three affiliated hospitals. NTU has research expertise and course offerings in all major academic fields, including the natural sciences, the humanities, the social sciences, and the arts, which no other institution of higher learning in Taiwan can match, giving students a diversity of quality learning experiences. In recent years, NTU has promoted new learning models such as the Flipped Classroom (FC), Open Courseware (OCW), and Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs), integrating digital technology into pedagogy and expanding learning beyond the confines of the classroom and the textbook.

    NTU enjoys an excellent international reputation in both research and teaching. In 19 of the 22 academic fields in the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database, scholars at NTU have produced academic papers listed as “most-cited.” NTU is also ranked in the top 100 institutions of higher learning in international indices. In the 2018 QS World University Rankings, for instance, NTU scored in the top 100 in 34 academic fields.

    Outlook: To stand tall in the Chinese cultural sphere, to adopt an international outlook, to stress independent thinking, to uphold the spirit of innovation, to endeavor to do visionary academic research, to develop professional skills, to foster outstanding talent, and to initiate students into a full and liberating life of learning.

 

  • 國立臺灣師範大學

    臺灣師範大學歷史溯至1922年的「臺灣總督府高等學校」及1946年成立的「臺灣省立師範學院」。臺師大擁有和平、公館及林口三大校區,近年來,由於師資培育管道的開放,已由教育屬性大學轉型為具特色之綜合型大學,在教育、音樂、美術、體育、文學的領域均有著領導前瞻的地位,在國際上亦有著學術崇高的地位。臺師大持續積極致力於多元發展,是唯一人文、藝術、體育及科學兼具的綜合型大學。

    臺師大目前共有有教育學院、文學院、理學院、藝術學院、科技與工程學院、運動與休閒學院、音樂學院、管理學院及國際與社會科學學院共9個學院、56個系所。臺師大是中學師資、技職師資、科教師資、國際華語師資培育的搖籃;是人文、藝術、音樂大師、競技金牌選手的培育基地;是工程師、國際企業管理人才的養成之所。跨領域學習特色,培養學生具備領導、創意、批判、國際移動能力。

    臺師大世界排名近三年已進步超過百名,在亞洲排名方面之進步幅度居國內之首,其中國際化指標為國內第1、學術聲譽為國內第4,顯示提升教學研究品質,受到國際肯定。在QS學科排名中,教育領域已連續三年進入世界前50名,語言學科亦連續三年名列全球百名,而運動科學與體育領域備受評為全球前7名的頂尖大學。

  • National Taiwan Normal University

    National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU)’s earliest history can be dated back to 1922 when the Taihoku High School was established at the present site during the Japanese rule. 1946 marked the official inception of the university when its predecessor Taiwan Provincial Teachers College was founded. NTNU has diversified from its initial focus on teacher training into a comprehensive university. As a pioneering institution with a leading status in a wide spectrum of fields including education, music, fine arts, sports, and literature, NTNU is well-recognized internationally for its academic excellence.

    NTNU consists of 62 departments and graduate institutes under 9 colleges—Education, Liberal Arts, Science, Arts, Technology and Engineering, Sports and Recreation, Music, Management, and International Studies and Social Sciences. NTNU serves as a cradle for teachers of secondary education and of Chinese as a second language; an incubator for exceptional talents in the field of humanities, arts, and music, as well as for gold medalists in sports; and a training base for engineers and for global business management minds. The interdisciplinary learning experiences it offers empower students to develop leadership, creativity, critical thinking and international mobility capabilities.

    NTNU is one of the oldest universities in Taiwan and the fastest-rising university in Asia, as shown in the QS World University Ranking. Named No. 1 on internationalization and No. 4 on academic reputation in Taiwan, NTNU has gained international acclaim for its teaching and research quality in educational studies, modern language/linguistics studies, in sport sciences, physical education, and in kinesiology.

  • 國立臺灣科技大學

    臺灣科技大學創立於1974年,為臺灣第一所技職教育高等學府,地處首善之都的臺北市中心,比鄰交通便捷、生活機能完善的公館文教區,另於新竹校地成立「前瞻研發中心」,由臺科大研究團隊進駐,提供師生產學研究空間,並與大新竹地區產業攜手進行合作研發及人才培育。

    臺科大目前設有6個學院及23個系所,並設有跨領域學分學程、學位學程及跨領域研究中心,教學內容以學理與實務並重,並特別強調學生實作及跨領域團隊研發能力。為建構多元國際化學習環境,研究所已有30%課程採全英語授課,外籍學位研究生人數列居全國第一,為培養學生具有宏觀視野及開闊胸襟,定期舉辦海外研習、國際生座談會、各國文化節及節慶交流活動等。

    臺科大於2018年獲得QS世界大學排名264名,以及QS全球年輕潛力大學排名23名,並另於2017年QS世界大學領域排名中共有教育、藝術與設計等8大領域進入世界前150名。設計領域方面也備受佳績,於2018年榮獲德國紅點設計(reddot)世界大學的亞太區排名第四名,並連續5年入選美國專利全球百大的大學,目前有861個發明專利,其中155個為美國專利,另依據Time Higher Education全球大學畢業生就業能力排名第65名,整體表現為全國大學之首,顯示臺科大畢業生在專業知識的扎根與能力的養成,深獲國際肯定。

  • National Taiwan University of Science and Technology

    The National Taiwan University of Science and Technology was established on August 1, 1974, as the National Taiwan Institute of Technology, the first higher education institution of its kind within our nation’s technical and vocational education system. From the beginning, the school’s goal has been to contribute to Taiwan’s economic development through training the manpower and conducting the research most needed for the advance of our industrial and technological capabilities.

    The scope and direction of our education and research have grown and changed along with Taiwan itself, focusing on new fields of research, interdisciplinary training and collaboration, better ways of working together with industry, and international outreach. Our faculty and students regularly receive top international awards for innovative product and concept design. We participate in research projects and training programs with partners around the world. Our graduate degree programs are helping to develop the next generation of faculty and researchers not only for Taiwan but also for other countries both near and far.

    Our efforts over more than forty years have enabled us to stand proudly in the top rank of Taiwan’s universities in a wide range of international university rankings.
